GTA 6 pre-orders are now open, with the game set to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. But is it worth paying in advance?

If you already plan to play GTA 6 on launch day, pre-ordering makes sense. If you would rather wait to see how the game performs, check reviews, and assess its technical state, there is no need to rush.

What do you get for pre-ordering GTA 6?

The main bonus is the Vintage Vice City Pack. It includes a classic car, additional outfits, hairstyles, and a weapon finish.

So there is no real need to buy the game months in advance just for this bonus pack.

Standard or Ultimate Edition?

For most players, the Standard Edition should be enough. It includes GTA 6 itself along with the early-purchase bonuses.

The Ultimate Edition adds vehicles, weapons, clothing, and other in-game content for the story mode.

Current prices in the European PlayStation Store are:

• Ultimate — €99.99

If the extra items are not particularly important to you, paying an additional €20 is probably unnecessary.

What about the PC version?

For now, GTA 6 has only been officially announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Rockstar has not announced a PC version yet, so GTA 6 cannot currently be pre-ordered for PC.

So, is GTA 6 worth pre-ordering?

Yes — if you already know you will be playing at launch. Pre-loading and the extra bonuses are useful perks.

There is no need to rush if you are still unsure. The Vintage Vice City Pack will also be available to players who buy the game immediately after release, so there is little pressure to pre-order. For most players, the Standard Edition looks like the best choice, while the Ultimate Edition is mainly worth considering if you want the additional in-game content.
