"Thousand Week Reich" is an alternate history mod that aims to bring realism and darkness to the old concept of Axis victory in World War II. The year is 1952. Over a nightmarish Europe looms the specter of fascist domination. Western powers, led by the rising United States and the exhausted but unbroken United Kingdom, are preparing to challenge the wavering German superpower. After the victory at Dunkirk and a long, grueling war with the Soviet Union, Germany's brutal and tyrannical rule over Europe appears outwardly unshakable. But the aging and ailing Hitler introduces instability, and uprisings threaten to destroy this "New Order." Meanwhile, the waves caused by Europe's collapse ripple around the world, altering the course of history. European colonial empires are crumbling, and the rising Chinese Republic seeks to fill the vacuum left by defeated Japan. Although the memory of the war is still fresh in people's minds, this twisted status quo cannot last forever.
